| Re: Driver help wind Yea I play in a lot of wind here on the east coat of scotland. Holes 8 and 9 at my course are almost exactly the same length and run parallel but in opposite directions. 8 is usually into the wind and 9 is downwind. Last week I hit Driver - 7 wood to 8 and 4 wood Sand wedge to 9.
I practice hitting driver off the turf for really strong winds. You can get good distance into the wind that way since the ball tends to be a real ankle shatterer, going right under the wind. Just watch for the big push right.
