Re: New Clubs for a New Player?

Hi Arkonden,

You would be much better spending your money on a few lessons to get yourself started on the right track.......

Yes it is good to practice with a mid iron 6/7/8 is fine, but this is only to grove a swing into your memory, with a mid iron it is long enough to hit the ball out there to get some feedback on ball flight (slice etc) but easy enough to hit. Ball flight can tell you what you are doing wrong!!!!!!

Seek a good instructor you feel confident in and book a series of lessons, this will give you confidence and maybe buy a set of clubs that suit your swing.

As for drivers my choice for a beginner would be Cobra, very large clubhead, very long and most of all easy to hit.

Hope this helps

Ian.
