It's Soapbox Time

It’s time I had a gripe...........Instead of all this talk about banning clubs, balls etc........why don't they just make the course's more, risk and reward with smaller greens, tighter fiarways and hazards/water in front of most par 5 greens.

Every time I watch Golf on TV I see players missing the pin by 30yds and still hitting the green. This leaves putts of anything up to100 feet, if you missed the green on any hole at my course by 30 yds, your next shot would be a chip over a bunker.

I am only guessing but if I played in the thinner, warmer air with near tarmac hard fairways and greens 100 feet wide, I could drive 300 and play to scratch.

I will be going to the British Masters in a few weeks as I have done for the last 5 years and I still haven’t seen a 350yd drive, in the UK on softer fairways with no run it can’t be done ( at least I have never witnessed it).

Make the courses harder not longer...........

What do you think????????
