I used to hit like that, just keep at it and know that technique is EVERYTHING. I have loosened up my swing, and slowed down my tempo a lot! oddly enough i got about 150yds difference. Some people don't like say that accuarcy is more inmportant than power, but i have found with the correct power acccuracy will come more naturally. I don't care if you how fast you turn your core and whip your hands around, if you are not loose you are adding tension and killing power. it is like a rusty hinge versus a greesed up hinge. it you shut a door with the force of say 10 mph but have a rusty hinge the door is only going to be moving 4 mph as it closes..... but if you only shut the door with a force of 6mph but the door is greased the door will shut at 6mph. (you understand that analogy) don't worry about swinging hard, worry about swinging loose. you will find about 60-70 yds difference. as far as the other 50-60 yds i get, read my other post on the tread
