| Hello and some swing advice Hi, I'm new to the forum and my current handicap is a 5.2 at my home course. I've been very inconsistent with ball striking over the 20+ years that I've been playing and this is due to some old ingrained swing flaws. The first problem was posture, I tend to get too far away from the ball and that causes me to become disconnected. The second problem is the club becoming loose at the top of the swing and dropping. To recover, I developed a dip and a hip slide which creates great swing speed but also serious inconsistency. I've been working on fixing my swing flaws over the last year and a half and am making some good progress. Does anyone have any suggestions/drills for posture and keeping the club in control at the top? Staying in balance is another big key I'm striving for. I've done a lot of work on flexibility and balance training, but I'm not quite where I want to be yet. Any suggestions are welcome!! |
