as far as hitting it like a rifle i am not sure what you are talking about or tour trajectory or teardrop. i think equipment makes a big difference on this though. a lower kickpoint or a higher flexablitly will give the ball more spin where as a higher kickpoint/lowtorque shaft seem to have what i hear people call boring trajectory which is what i have. i have competed in a local driving cometition and some people have some wierd ball flight trajectories. mine is very boring, it hit it on the upswing i gradually climbs and then gradually falls as it is going foward so i think the thing that makes your ball start low and rise is the back spin on the ball which uses presure change (kind of like a planes wing) which makes the ball rise. but there is an optimum ball spin that is not too low and not too high.
but with my old
clubs i hit the ball and it seemed to almost step up everyfew yds and once it reached the highest point, it seemed to jsut hit a wall and just fall strait down. is that a teardrop shape? i seem to get a lot more distance with my "boring" trajectory. i get the teardrop a lot more with my
irons which i like becuase that helps me stop or get roll back. i think it is easier with
irons becuaese they generally have a higher back spin rate
does anyone have the ablility to draw these shapes on paint or something and post it on here?
