| Re: Getting fit for golf. Hey Preacher,
I'm the same height as you and have two kilo's to go and I'm pre my two boys weight. I'm currently 77kilos (I suppose times that by 2.2 and you'll have your pounds). I'm happy between 71 and 75.
I've always worked out on my fitness so this isn't my problem. Since having the kids my diet has been the con.
This year I have worked really hard on watching diet. I have toned and lost my weight more so by eating more meals per day with less content.
I'll eat 5 to 6 small meals a day. Apparently tricks the metabolism - makes it quicker and burns more fat.
I love my beer - so I'm into drinking low carb beer. About a 100 cal per stubbie. Been drinking this stuff since August last year. If I can't be bothered having a beer, I'll have a red wine.
I've gone off the white breads, rice and pasta.
When I was really good (before my boys), I limited my intake of fat to around 25 grams per day.
I don't have any butter or marg on my toast or sandwiches.
To stop my cravings I have one bad meal/day per week. I eat absolutely **** for this meal.
Believe it or not, walking is far better for fat burning than running is. A good argument for spending more time on the course.
Hope this helps.
