I am in the middle of a swing breakdown, which has me totally at a loss for explanation

Over the last few weeks, I just can not hit the wedge with the tempo and rhythm i am used to. All I get is sockets or tops. But if I take the driver out I can strike it as per normal 250plus I am going through my routine as I do i.e. grip, stance, square shoulders etc, but no end result. Is this a problem which can suddenly arrive and if so does any body know a solution? My normal game just is not there and I am close to giving in.
Please help!!!!!
