Hi folks.
Played my first 9 holes today ( not hit a golf ball in 4 weeks ).
I don't use a driver and haven't done for years,
i'm a firm believer in getting the ball onto the fairway as opposed to hitting the ball a fair way, so i always tee off with my 18 degree hybrid club . I find the shorter shaft gives me more control over the ball flight.
My right wrist still feels a bit weak and i am still experiencing some numbness and tingling in my thumb and fingers so i didn't want to overdo it.
Anyway , i managed a respectable 37 for nine holes( not bad for someone who has suffered with the chipping yips for years). I was tempted to complete 18 holes but the inclement weather made up my mind for me.
It seems i still have a long way to go before my wrists are fully recovered, i think that i will rest them for a couple more weeks and maybe surgery may be the only future option.
It felt really great to be back on the course again but i'm not going to risk any further damage to the median nerve so, no more golf for at least two weeks.
