That's the same idea you want in a golf swing ... Swing back getting your back facing the target, all the weight onto a flexed right knee (like a discus thrower) shoulders titled and thr left shoulder under your chin ...
Practice the movement to get the feeling as if you were going to through a discus or frisbee with your right hand. Sounds an odd thing to practice but trust me it works. I use it often in teaching students how to get rid of a reverse pivot.
