I don’t know about the "free swing" stuff, but it seems you’ve discovered what many players and instructors believe.....the right hand and arm should not dominate the swing. Left and right co-equal is okay. The right side applying power at the right time is okay. Right hand/arm controlling from start to finish is bad. I think you can imagine how the right can pull you off plane on the back swing or allow you to take the club back without a full shoulder turn or allow you to bend the left arm too much or allow you to loosen or regrip at the top. Swing destroyers. On the way down, it can cause you to cast the club, among other things.
You’ve basically eliminated all possibility of the right side taking over.....you’re not using it at all!

However, in the long run, you’ll be sacrificing distance and control. Now that you’ve got the feel, try to incorporate the right side without allowing it to take over. Good luck.
