| Re: End of caddies In the U.S. caddies at the private & some upper scale public courses are 95% teenagers that are making money while of school for the summer. They don't add to the players ability to play golf, but they allow the player to walk the course without having to carry a bag or push a cart. They rake sandtraps, wash the players golf ball, give yardages (not usually accurate by the way), and are integral in helping the golfer find errant shots. In the Chicago area a caddy makes between $50.00 to $100.00 per round. It's a great summer job for the kids.
