The putter is all about the feel. Putting is down to confidence so you need a putter that makes you confident. The weight of the putter matters to me because I needed a putter that I know would get the ball to the hole because I used to leave my putts short.

I bough the Odyssey 2 ball putter and had two 4 gram wights put into the shaft. This has basically given me confidence in my putter and that helps to make putts.

If you feel confident with the putter you have then dont change it. If your not then go try some out like people have already mentioned.
