) says if you want to learn the proper move from the top is to just let gravity start your down swing. Do it at a slow pace and later on you can start to use more acceleration and speed. Fred Couples does a drill where he sets his club at the top (with no backswing) and just lets the hands, elbow and club drop straight down to his hip and then completes his swing. Nothing fancy, using just an easy rhythm and tempo. No force whatsoever. I think this is the same as what BrianW mentioned in this same thread.
