| Re: Fighting the wind The KEYWORD in my previous post is PRACTICE. Practice until you know how to hit it. Practice slowing your swing speed down to that perfect point that will send the ball the correct yardage. You see, if you hit your 3 wood full swing speed and connect perfectly, you might actually hit it 240 yards. However, the shot we are talking about is a little different. Slower swing speed (perhaps a good starting point would be around 2/3rds or 65%) causes the ball to not travel as far as full swing. Do you grasp that concept? De-lofting the club causes it to hit a much lower shot. Slower swing speed coupled with a de-lofted club will give you a low shot that will drop in at a much lower yardage. Anyway, like I said before, the keyword is practice.
