You don;t need to hit a driver yet, you will be more consistent and thus score better with an iron off the tee or try a three wood.
If you are hitting the other clubs well then take 3 irons to the par 5 is better than than a drive into trouble, a recovery shot and two more to the green!

I would second the advice from above. I think you would be better served working on the other
clubs first. But if you want to hit one anyway.
what type of driver do you have, shaft and what loft?
