The driver is the most difficult of your
clubs to hit straight and make good contact consistently. Your driver has the longest shaft of all your
clubs so any flaw will be accentauted in the long path the club head has to travel. Don't give up on it but think about using other
clubs off the tee when possible. You probably run into a lot of Par 4's 350 to 375 yards where a three or five wood will get you enough distance to make a shot at the green. Really narrow holes are good candidates for three woods, five woods and even low
irons. When you get a shot at a relatively wide open fairway, give the driver a shot. Mixing things up like this off the tee should result in better scores for you.
