Re: Lack of Iron Power

Let me advise you of these things, very critical for you:
Driver: Tee the ball so 3/4 of the ball is above your 460cc. driver head; Why? You want to encourage the driver to hit on upswing from low to high; I like to waggle making sure my right shoulder is lower than left but very relaxed-no tension in arms. As I waggle, I mimic a low to high upswing.
Irons: I like to lean the shaft forward; more for short irons, less as the club gets longer-see my other posts on this.
Also, when downswing, I like to point or at least feel as if I am pointing the very end of the iron at the tip of the handle-down the ball to target line. This helps keep you down and through the shot.
Look at any pro and you will see the forward lean of shaft, meaning they take the club back clubhead first and bring the club down to impact with clubhead last.
Driver: hit with upswing
Irons: hit with downswing
Does this make sense to you all???
