| Re: The goofiest shot you ever seen Mine has to be when I was on the 18 th hole par 5. After an awsome tee shot I was in perfect postion with about 210yrds left to the pin. The pin location to my shot was down hill no wind so I took out my rescue club as I wanted to attack the pin (not often I get the chance on this hole).
So feeling good I swung my club only to hit my ball ever so sweet and it flew like a rocket. It must of took me 5 seconds to register in my brain that this ball was out of control and head straight passed the green, so I shouted fore as you do. The ball only then hit the top of the back wall surrounding the hole, which then fired it off into the lady captins car like a rolling dam buster bomb. Lucky for me it hit the bumper and not the rear windscreen and then sent it back over the wall to within in chipping distance to the pin.
I felt so tiny as I heard the car alarm making a racket with people coming out of the club house investigating the matter and me head down slowly walking towards the green with my mate in tears of laughter.
Anyawy lucky for me the only damage it done was a chip in paint work and a small dint. As you can guess she was not very happy but after some true grovelling she assured me that she would not take the matter further.
To my astonishment within a couple of weeks the club had moved her car spot, the chairmans plus captins and erected a safety fence / net along the back wall.
I did end the hole with a birdie which cheered me up a bit.
Cheers
