Re: how to learn the golf swing in under an hour.

see that site and learn what i mean by throwing the club. so the two components are throwing the club and rotating the core.... thats it, it is that simple. once you learn to use the legs they are passive. but there are few swing thought involved. you have to feel the club head throug out the swing, that is the key (i do have a few BS thoughts but that is slower and i am allowed time to think thoose and my only DS thougts are turn ribs as fast as i can and throw right knuckle to gound when trying fo max distance, and iron shot there is no swing thoughts, the rest just happens). helping you feel the club head is by resisting the direction it wants to go ie BS to DS by rotating and uncocking.

the right arm is the guid to swing path. if you have an flat swing or one plane that try to bend right arm back in BS and at the top, try to uncock as hard as you can (which if you didn't have any rotational power you would d0) but you won't be able to uncock because of rotating. and the right arm..... try to imagine you are trying to straiten your arm at or just past the ball (for those that have a flat swing or a round or one plane swing and at adress have very littl if any angle with relation ship with the club and arm). when trying to straiten it you will be rotatinig back down and your right arm strying to striaten will be in effect rying to uncock the club via correct grip and pressure of the right hand pushing against the lever of the shaft bending the shaft. if you shaft is too stiff you won't feel this and you need a more flexable shaft. the harder/faster you core rotates back down will add more bend to the shaft and allow you to try even harder to uncock. it is only that when you club reaches about parellel to the ground that you will be able actaully be able to uncock and release all the pressure into the ball. it is also this uncocking motion (if you didn't fan the club back in the BS) that allows your face to return square at impact and allow your right arm to cross over your left. you shouldn't have to conciensly rotate you wrist at all or timing involved, the simple uncocking of them will cause the club to square up at the right time. i like to try to look at my right hand at adress and remember what it feels looks like and find a knuckle on that hand and in the DS throw that knuckle of my right hand at the ball as hard as i can making sure that the knuckles reltaioship to the ball is the same at impact as it was at adress.

for thoose with a 2 plane of upright swing, they want to do much the same with the right arm, but since they have an angle between the club and arms at adress they need to try to keep that angle and swing plane, so instead of trying to straiten the right arm at the ball, just straiten it to where you hands were at adress. you want your right arm to bend as much as posible (wthout letter the left arm bend too much, because when the left arm bends in the BS it straintens n the DS and can cause a lot of damage like tennis elbow) but you dont' want it to bend to much that your elbow is touching your ribs because that adds tension and anything that adds tension to your swing is bad. but the more your right arm bends the longer you can accelreate the club via straitening the right arm.

after you get the basics down you can play around and learn a few tricks here and there....but the main key in the DS is trying you harder to throw he club at the ball by trying uncock the wrist (if you have enough rotaional power) will cause pressure and speed to build up and fianlly release through the ball.

but if you don't want to read all that jibba jabba, then i would say feel of the club is the key to a powerfull and acurate swing. you tell the club what to do and it listens. it is hard to tell the club to do with you body though, that is why arms so important.

thats all there is to it.
