| Re: Slice woods and no distance on irons It is your swing speed. Something you are not able to create just yet. But not to worry. Use your woods from the fairway when you need them, use your Sw-7i for the rest. Don't even worry about the 6i and up yet.
As your swing develops, confidence will allow a greater sense of control. That builds into your ability to swing a little harder while still under a reasonable amount of control. You will get over confidant and swing way outside your ability again, slice or hook the ball OB and you will say, "That was way too hard." And the next shot will be under control again.
This will continue for the next year or so. Always gaining confidence to try to push it, only to return back to something always within your ability. But the fun part is always trying to push it.
Eventually, you will be able to start to use more club and have enough power behind the shot to propel the ball the way the club is designed ... and will learn to hate and love your 2i.
