| Re: Longer Driver - Distance versus Accuracy lgskywalker37 - The 397 yard drive was a one time thing. I guess you would call it a personal best that I may never achieve again. Or maybe I will. My average is 320. My current shaft is 44" while the new one is 46". I guess the thing I was wondering about is, should I go from stiff to x stiff with the extra 2 inches or will it make a difference?
Wildwilly911 - My 320 yard average has a whole lot to do with my brother. If you have any brothers, you'll know how competition can build between yous. Driving is about the only thing in golf that I can do as well as him so I strive to drive as far as I can. If I can outdrive him 2 or 3 times a round, my game has been a success, no matter the score. LOL. If an extra 2 inches on my shaft can add 10, 15 or even 20 yards to my drive, that might give me the edge I need to crank a few past his new Titleist 905R.
