I also asked the same question when asking questions about the right hybrid to replace my 3 and 4
irons. The advice I got was to think of distance rather than loft, shaft length and type etc. You've got the yardages worked out for the
clubs you've already got, therefore work out the gaps left and then try out the hybrids that would fill those gaps, unless of course you're just looking for a hybrid that would replace the
irons for no other reason but ease and confidence of using the club. Some people, like me have difficulty using long
irons and therefore look for replacements in the hybrids.
