IMO, I give the brain more credit for being able to differentiate between uphill and downhill putts, but even if you were correct the Boom's going to make your uphill putting dead easy - wouldn't you agree? |
Yes and no.
Sure your brain can differentiate between uphill and downhill, I just think that the "hill" in the boomerang is a scenario that will very rarely happen on a course.
Its basically like putting up a tier in a green.
My personal preference when practicing is to putt on a flat, straight surface.
That way I know if Im missing because of a swing fault and not because of a mis read.

And thanks again for the opinion, the world would be very boring if everyone was the same

PS For those that haven't read our FAQ the Boom's not about grooving certain distances, it's more about building a synchronized relationship between putter and ball that works over any distance. |
No worries, Im not trying to just knock it down, just pointing out something that I noticed.
As I said, I can definitely see how it can help groove alignment and your stroke to promote a straight putt.
I can also see how it would teach you (and indeed let you become addicted to) knocking the previous ball out (assuming you got one in

) I just dont see how you can bring what you have learned about hitting up a short incline to a 20 foot putt on the course.
I dunno, maybe if you spent some time working on the physics of it and had a scale on the side so users could equate say an angle of 30 Degrees with a 15 foot "flat" putt?
That way you know when you are on the course that your 15 footer is the same as that 30 degree one you have been practicing at home.
Maybe you already have done something like this and I just missed it.
Good luck with the product.
