Hi Gree,
You're spot on, we are adding calibrations to the new model that relate the 6 hight settings to different distances (flat and inclined) on a variety of surface speeds. We're doing this because a lot of people do putt "by the numbers". But the alternative is, as I mentioned it before, synchronizing your stroke and then using the Boom to practice and groove this synchronization.
So what is synchronization? Imagine you're eyes are over the ball to target line and you can see the putter and ball working together all the way to the target just as if the putter was following the ball like a pacesetter.
It's a technique for people who don't have the time to practice but still want to make distance control something more than guesswork. If you're still unclear go see our short video clip at
www.boomgolf.com/video.htm as a picture does say 1000 words. It's fantastic at turning a hit into a stroke but it all comes down to the length of the take away.
Even though you don't get how the Boom can help on distance control thanks for saying that you can see merit in it for alignment etc. I'd like to keep my offer open to you and if you ever decide to take it up just let me know
amgmoore@gmail.com I do have an ulterior motive of course; getting the message across to a "skeptic" (even a nice one) sends a very powerful message to others and that's always worth taking a chance on.
All the best with your practice.
Cheers
Alex
