when we learn to play golf and start hitting full shots, we are told to try and hit the ball straight but i dont know of one pro golfer that dont hit a draw or a fade as there standard shot, if you know the ball always fade's then you will be able to aim at the trouble and let the ball fade away from it but if you hit it straight you never know if it will fade or draw. i have yet to hear of a teaching pro that starts someone off by getting them to to draw or fade as there fundementle shot. i always look at lee trevino,s teaching and how he said it was easy to teach someone that slices how to use a fade and control it than to ever get them to hit a ball constanly straight, he said even the pro's cant always hit a stright ball.
