First things first: Welcome to GTO.

Now, IMO, there are two routes.

One is to keep overswinging. It hasn't seemed to hurt John Daly.

The other is to get it under control.

You could be doing it by over-rotating, you could be doing it with floppy wrists.

The easiest way to stop overswinging is to start your downswing when it feels like your lead arm is parallel to the ground. Dollars to doughnuts that you'll be close to parallel at the top.
