| Re: Playing Order In An Ambrose (or Scramble)... In a scramble, I don't think it matters. Once you select the ball you're going to play, you all hit from the same type of lie in the same area - the only 'honours' are for those who are still away. Who chooses to play first has no bearing.
Let's change the scenario within your ambrose: You're on the putting green. Who putts first? If there's no rule as to who putts first, then I wouldn't assume there'd be a rule as to who tees off first, or hits the 2nd/3rd/4th whatever shot first within the team.
