Ball spin effectively changes the ball in a wing.
I have attached a diagram that shows what things will affect the ball flight.
"Late draw": initially the ball follows number (3) so there is some curving but outweighed by the balls velocity (forward motion), but as the ball slows down (4) the spin becomes the larger effect and the ball curves more that it travels forward. |
