The Interlocking grip, as used by Tiger and Jack, is often suggested for small hands - have a look at the Golf Lessons on here (top menu bar).

If you mean what I think you mean about the markings then they indicate an "ideal hand position" which is fine if a) the fitter has actually put the thing on straight (cue outrage from our club makers b) if you ignore the fact that many pros (Langer's strong grip is one example - did Moe Norman use a baseball grip?) have succeeded with "incorrect" grips.
