Much appreciated gentlemen. | I would be very careful here. I struggled with my wedges for the longest time – big bertha – fat soled wedges – then I tried other wedges, thin soled wedges – and for whatever reason my problems dissipated! In fact, when I go back to the big berthas I have the same problems. I read a thread here, and a lot of people had problems hitting those wedges. So, I would absolutely try before I buy. For reasons I am not sure of, I am developing a preference for steele over graphite – I like the certitude of steel. The shaft flex posted on too many graphite clubs is meaningless. Although, with a shorter club it may be less of a problem. In terms of brands I have wedges in both graphite and steel and made by various manufacturers Taylormade, Ping, Callaway, and Wilson. It works for me. Good luck, james |
