Re: women vs men's golf

Men are better tee to green period. It has been proven by Michelle Wie, Anika Sorenstam and others who have tried to make a cut at events that don't have many of the top male players in attendance. End of story.

The gap has closed to be sure but it is still quite significant.

As for women's golf in general, the interest seems to have grown quite a bit in recent years. I for one look forward to the women's events. Very competitive and fun to watch. Another factor for me is the number of American golfers in contention. People like Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Kristie Kerr, Kristina Kim, Morgan Pressel and others make it more interesting to me. And frankly, they are more fit women who don't look like dikes on the course which makes viewing more pleasureable. Not a politically correct thing to say but a factor not to be ignored.
