I can see what you mean now that you mention it. I would suggest trying to get a little more extension down the line on the follow through, this will keep you down through impact then bring the club up higher over your left shoulder.

For a drill, try stopping in the follow through and trying to get your arms extended straight out with the club pointing to target, clubface pointing straight up and down, belt buckle a little left of target.

Worth a try?
