This isn't a huge inconvenience but I'm just wondering what the compensating advantages are. | Hi ubizmo, I am currently looking into the possibility of adding blog entries to the latest posts feature The new blog/journal system has many features specific to a blog that the that the forum doesn't: - Manage Blocks
- Here you can really cutomise your blog by adding the following features
- Recent Comments
- Random Gallery Images
- Displays random images from your gallery uploads.
- Recent Gallery Images
- Displays recent images from your gallery uploads.
- Search My Blog
- Displays a search form for users to search the entries of your blog.
- Syndication
- Share your latest entries and comments with other websites.
- Monthly Archives
- Allows users to browse through your archive easily. It lists lists all the months you have posted entries in, and shows the total entries for that month, and also a link to it.
- Favorite Songs
- Enter your favorite songs.
- Calendar
- Shows the current month on the calendar, and allows users to browse entries by date.
- Buddy Entries
- Shows last X posts made by users on your Buddy List.
- Categories
- Allows people to browse your blog entries by category.
- Favorite Entries
- About Me
- Enter some information about yourself.
- Favorite Links
- Favorite TV Shows
- Enter your favorite tv shows.
You also have the ability to create your own categories within your blog i.e. golf course, practise etc... You can also subscribe to other members blogs, and when you have done so any updated content can be viewed in Internet Explorer and other programs that use the Common Feed List. Hope this helps explain just a few of the new features that the new Blog system has to offer... Enjoy
