| Re: improve launch angle hi slater
i find when you pick the driver out your bag you instantly think distance and your body seemed to react by tensing to give you that extra power. when you try and give it that little bit extra to gain the 10 more yards you want you always seemed to swing faster and get out of sync. it you can think of your driver as control club and a club you can place the ball on the fairway with you find out you don't tense up the arm and shoulder muscles and start to hit the ball cleaner and the more you swing smooth like Brian said (the more you sense where the late hit is.) you also find out you make contact with the sweet spot more often and do seen to hit that effortless shot that sails away into the distance and brings a big smile to your face.
i now always think of the driver as being my control club. i use to think that way about my 1 iron as i seemed to always find the fairway with it and since doing the same with the driver i seem to hit more fairways too. i have never been long with driver i hit about 250 to 260yards and I'm more than happy with that distance as i can reach all holes in par if i hit them straight.
maybe if you concentrate on hitting the sweet spot more than trying to hit longer you might end up getting more distance.
best of luck and good to know that book has helped your game so much.
