I think I'd just about go for the bunker principle, in that I'm pretty confident it wouldn't be absolutely disastrous to be in one, where as accidentally hitting a straight one into a lake is a bit different.
I'm getting this fro the Dr Bob Rotella book, and I have to say I agree with the rest of it, and the effect saying 'don't hit it in the water' has on most peoples' minds, but I've no doubt some peoples' heads are much stronger than my own!
