I know you may not want to keep hearing me keep carping about this 3SKs book etc etc etc.
But I must say that everything in ' How I Play Golf' Tigers book about the golf swing can be related to 3SKs but far easier.
I cannot believe how much I have been BLOWN away with this concept, in a few short months it has completely changed my outlook to Golf, I am hitting the ball better than I have ever done, I haven't had a swing thought for months, infact we videoed my swing last week just on my mobile while having a knock and it looked a little shorter swing, compact, faster and very powerful.
Any part of the golf swing can be achieved by 3SKs, the downswing, impact position and follow though are all achieved by knowing how to put the clubface to the ball.
Before 3Sks at Arden this year I was working on a later hit, in my pre-shot during the swing with some success I must admit but mind cluttering, the problem I found which relates to Martin's thread when we start trying to hard to change we forget to hit the ball (always) whenever I tried a swing change I would always go through a period of poor ball striking.
Yet since 3Sks I haven't focused on any part of my swing at all not for a minute, partly due to the instant success, but also to give it a fair crack, personnally I must admit I have always been very technical and spent endless hours working on swing changes..............
Staying with the ball on the backswing, easy Skill 1 (If you don't you can't hit down on the ball SK1), The late hit is easily achievable by using skill 2 (To attack from inside to the outer most point you must have a late hit), Releasing the club through the ball, easy skill 3 ( to rotate though impact your body natually stays where it is and your arms extend).................combine all three and you have it.
Every part of modern day coaching can be achieved simply by applying one of the skills.
I have never looked forward to the new season more than I do now.
Thank you

Good stuff Ian.
As you know I have also been working on 3 skills but did not totally let myself to it for some time. I found that skill 1 improved my ball contact very quickly and gave some real results from the outset.
For around 12 months now my driving has dropped off, for so long it was the mainstay of my game, slowly that advantage seemed to slip away from me and I could not really figure it out, three drivers later my driving was still off form. I decided recently to concentrate driving solely on skill 2 and just swing the club around my body with focus only on the arc of the clubface back and through while driving the horizontal nail, no more thoughts of takeaway, wrist cock, lag, extension, release etc, I also made a small change with setting up the clubface more towards the toe at address. WOWEEEE!!!! I am driving the ball so well again, great ball flight, good powerful hits down the middle.
It works as long as you let it.
