Your teaching pro is mistaken, or just being foolish. In fact I even see a lot 7woods in golfer's gags now days. I carry one of those square 5 woods myself. I wish I could hit it as far as you can, but I am still pretty accurate with it.

The idea that "only real golfers" carry this, that or those kinds of clubs is idiotic. It makes no difference at the end of the round since the lowest score still wins. GJS
