| Re: Not on either list! As Bill said in Post 9, it would be a shame if people are having to give up perfectly good equipment if they are an average weekend handicap hacker. If the equipment is so good, then they'll play off .4 lower than if they had 'conforming' equipment.
I can't help but be cynical that the manufacturers had a double win with the R&A / USGA - not only were their non-conforming clubs able to be used and sold for a number of years after they were deemed illegal, they were then deemed illegal for member comps etc as well. Seems to me that it should've been a pro / scratch amateur rule, but that it shouldn't have affected us mug hacks.
