It's a brutal affliction dant, I feel your frustration, I've been fighting ( and trying to fix ) hooking the driver for the longest time. Five lessons from five different teaching pros. last season and I ended up with five different opinions. I recently changed drivers going from a regular shaft to a stiff shaft but I was not under the illusion that this was the cure. It's in the swing not the shaft, for me it's feast or famine, I either " nail it " down the fairway on a regular basis or hook it off the first tee and it's there for most of my round.
The video reply is very interesting, I studied it a number of times and took something from it that I will apply at the practice range today. Play this video a number of times and see if you can find anything that may relate to your situation. I certainly wish you luck, it's a frustrating problem indeed, my course is playing long and difficult at this time and I shot a brilliant 76 yesterday and only hit four fairways. It was a day where I hit great golf shots ( driving excluded ) putted well and a short game that boggled the eyes of my playing partners. I can only imagine the outcome if the driver had been working, hang in there, let me know if this video helped you or not. Buteman.
