Re: worried about new purchase....please tell me what i can do

Boy oh boy... where to start?

You hit off the lie board (that's the black board). OK - what was your ball flight doing?

Perhaps you are custom fit for the 90g shaft. A moderate swing speed is lacking numbers. How fast were you measured for, and with what club(s)?

At 6'3" and I'll assume normal length arms I'd guess your favourite most comfortable swinging club is a 6 or 5 iron.

Assuming the lie angle is bent properly, the extra quarter inch won't effect you much - you'll either stand a little more upright or stand a little further away from the ball - neither of which is necessarily bad unless it's moving you away from optimal.

Shaft weight is not an indicator of stiffness. It's an indicator of weight. (I know, but some folks forget this). Too light and you can lose club feel, but if your swing speed is low, it will also help bring it up.

What were you fit for, and what were you fit with? Please describe your fitting.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.

I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.

For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
