I was messing about today and I noticed that in my old shift and flip swing, at impact if I stuck a club where my sternum was pointing it was 20 odd degrees behind the ball. It was from there I would try and release with the arms/hands. In my swing now its almost 45 degrees open. Just shows how much more I am now turning through impact and how my chest and hands are well ahead of the ball |
What I
bolded is so key. That flipping causes those ugly fat shots and strike with thin divots and no compression. If you can get your hands ahead of the ball and club head lagging behind, you are good to go.
Do you feel like you go "hard" with your body? I feel like I really aggressively rotate and drive down into the ball.
