I wish they would make some 390-420cc heads.

I hit some old persimmons for practice clubs. About 230-250cc heads. Not much bigger than a ball for a 4wood. Really gets you tuned into the sweet spot.

Distance wise with a steel shaft, not much. The ball makes much more difference than the club. I would say a well fitted shaft second and the head loft and face angle third.
