Re: 1 iron golfclubs

Your not going to get much of a yardage separation. The loft changes as well as the length change is what increases or decreases the yardage. I can put a 3 iron head on a 36" shaft that a normal wedge head is on, well hit maybe 20 yards further, because of the loft change. I assume you wish to use the easiest, shortest shaft to hit. You could put a wedge head on a 39" 3 iron shaft, but what you would get is a really high 180 yard shot, those are the extreme ends. Doing it to all the clubs and you get at around a 2-3 yard separation, as opposed to the 10-15 yards you should get between clubs. We won't even go into the lie specs, some one would have to make heads specifically to put on the same length shafts, which I don't think anybody does... Low Post builds a lot of clubs, he could probably tell you if some one does make these.

Or are you talking about that goofy club invented for travelers quite a few yards ago, with the adjustable head on it, changing the loft. LMAO...piece of junk, for the same reason as above, little or no distance separation.
