When talking about tour players first I doubt if any of them play with right off the shelf specs. They just do not advertise all the adjustments made to their sets. Their sponsers do not want people to hear how much adjustments are made. Some tweak the loft on their clubs so a 4 iron is really almost a 3, some play longer shafts ....
Additionally, this technology is targeted at golfers so they can learn one swing, ball position.. The Tour golfers practice hours a day, play and then practice some more. They do not have a problem shifting from club to club. I doubt that their target audiance is competitive golfers it seems to me more like week end guys who have trouble hitting their long irons. Shorten the shaft, maybe lose a little distance but make better contact. |
