WHAT??

Can you explain this 'hinging'. That isn't even the right word. Hinging, by definition, is the wrist movement through impact.

The left wrist cocks (up and down movement). The right wrist bends (horizontal movement).

There are three types of hinging. Vertical, horizontal, and Angled. You apply one through impact.

It is called the L to L drill

This will give you the proper feeling of the wrists hinging.
Didn't you just say the wrists didn't cock? It sounds like you THINK hinging and cocking are the same. NOPE. ONLY THE LEFT WRIST COCKS.

Setup to the ball with a wedge, now take the club halfway back(let your arms feel like rope) note when they reach halfway the butt of the club points to the ground( This is a direct result of your wrists hinging)just make sure that the club points to the ground. This is where the wrist hinge starts
to occur.
You are describing cocking. Double-cocking is WRONG. In an uncompensated swing, the right wrist does NOT cock.

And the left wrist can begin cocking at any point. The later it cocks, the later it will be released.
