Hi DirtyBird,

I tried a few clubs at Golf Galaxy near Chicago. I always take my equipment journal as I like to take notes on different equipment.

My notes on the C4 said:
1. Might be better with a shaft replacement.
2. Kind of dead feeling compared to other Callaway Drivers.
3. Not as much distance as Biggest Great Big Bertha (My Driver). [-18 yrds]
There was a note to try a different lofts and stiffer shaft.

Most times the dead feeling is the shaft not the head.

I have tested several clubs. I get equipment sent to me to test and I keep up with the technology. I'm fair if they send it to me and test with their shaft and my favorite shaft to compare. At a retail stop they frown on taking the clubs apart.

The biggest things I've found with equipment is try before you buy, always order the same thing you tested if you like it and don't look back once you purchased it. Second guessing your purchase can make you hate a good club. Just because it doesn't suit my swing or feel it may suit yours.
