You not mistaken it is a none conforming head under USGA rules but it's not banned under R&A regulations for another few years yet. Not sure what date but I think it's It's Jan 2008. I'm sure somebody will confirm it. I do live in the UK buy the way ;o)

Do you think it's worth changing the shaft then?
