Re: New Putter?

The new 2 ball has a line down through the 2 balls to help aid alignment.

The MentorSports Triad 2 that I use now (in fact, it's bumped the 2 ball out of the bag) has a few tricks to help putting - including a line from the back to the front, a slightly recessed channel the width of the ball, and a face that will open if the club isn't properly soled.

Plus the weights are quite adjustable - anywhere from 315 grams (empty, the same weight as the 2 ball blade) to a whopping 650 grams.

The kicker is that I noticed that with the 2 ball, the ball would often hop off the face (as I've often seen with most putters), but the Triad 2 gets the ball rolling right away - and the ball holds the line fantastically. Even the mis-hits are good with this putter. You'll miss your line, of course, but not by much.

A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.

I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.

For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
