Message filter?

I gather that there is some sort of text filter in effect on this site that is supposed to censor off-color language, but maybe it needs a few adjustments. I've noticed some odd "decisions" by the filter. If I give examples verbatim, I guess they'll get censored again, so I'll have to use modified spellings to get the point across.

In one post I mentioned that I couldn't "t0ss" a ball in the air and hit it with a baseball bat, and it came out as "****", so "t0ss" was censored. Is this off-color? Is it because of the UK slang, "t0sser"? Seems like a stretch to me.

And "$hank" may be a dirty word in golf, but it's also a needed word. It seems to get censored on this site.

In a post today, I *think* LowPost42 said he managed to "$queeze" out a PB, but "$queeze" got censored to "s****e" so I'm not sure.

In another post I mentioned a golfer whose first name is "D!ck" and that got censored, which isn't surprising. But I saw the same word uncensored in another post. And luckily the "cock" in "wrist cocking" etc. doesn't seem to trigger anything.

Anyway, apart from the obvious candidates, it would be good to know what other words we're supposed to avoid.
